A year after first appearing the covers of local magazines, Chiminazzo signed with IMG Models in New York and appeared in Italian editions of Elle and Marie Claire soon after. During her first few years as an international model, Chiminazzo appeared in several fashion campaigns, for designers such as Emanuel Ungaro and Jill Stuart, for which she was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. In July 2005, Chiminazzo got her breakthrough with a Paris Vogue cover with Isabeli Fontana, photographed by Mario Testino after which her career took off.
Chiminazzo has appeared on the cover of nine international editions of Vogue, including French, Brazilian, Russian, British, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
Chiminazzo has been featured in campaigns for Calvin Klein, CK Jeans, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, D&G, Hugo Boss, Hermès, Armani, Karl Lagerfield, K Karl Lagerfield, Yves Saint Laurent, YSL makeup, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Intimissimi, Chanel, Tiffany, Versus,Top Shop, Warehouse, Accessorise, DKNY, Ungaro, GAP, Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Jeans, Nautica, Abercombie, Victor Hugo, Marella, Paul and Joe, Hogan, Emporio Armani, J Brand, ISSA, Pucci, Alberta Ferretti, Jill Stuart, Lacoste, Alexandre Herchovitch, Animale and H&M. She also walked in the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.[1] She was featured in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.[2] She has done perfume campaigns for Hermes, CK, and Dior.
Chiminazzo is also considered[by whom?] one of the most successful contemporary runway models and has consistently walked for the worlds top fashion designers for fashion weeks in NY, Milan, London, Paris and São Paulo. They include Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Valentino, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Chanel, DKNY, Prada, Diane von Furstenberg, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Lagerfeld Gallery, D&G, Fendi, Christian Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana.
